Happy Handz non-verbal communication - stage 3

This course will further increase the participant’s signing vocabulary using signs sourced directly from British Sign Language. The course is also designed to further develop the practitioner’s skills and competency in non-verbal communication. Course content includes practical exercises involving group work as well as individual activities featuring games, songs and suggestions for implementing them in the work place. In order to access this course, practitioners must have completed Happy Handz non-verbal communication - Stages 1 & 2.

• To further increase the participant’s confidence and competency of using sign language, extending vocabulary and building upon underpinning knowledge.
• To continue to encourage effective communication with children through the use of non-verbal communication.
• To consolidate participant’s knowledge and competency of using British Sign Language / Signed Supported English in practical situations to support and enhance communication.
• Child Minders & Early Years Practitioners working with children aged 18 months +.
