Happy Handz non-verbal communication - stage 2

Building on what practitioners have previously learnt on the stage 1 course, stage 2 aims to increase the participant’s vocabulary of signs and extend underpinning knowledge. This course will explore the signs and songs associated with seasons & celebrations.  Subjects covered include signs for colours, numbers, days of the week and more nursery rhymes, songs and games for use in the working environment.  In order to access this course, practitioners must have completed Happy Handz non-verbal communication - stage 1.

• To increase the participant’s confidence and competency of using sign language, extending vocabulary and building upon underpinning knowledge.
• To continue to encourage effective communication with children through the use of non-verbal communication.
• Child Minders & Early Years Practitioners working with children aged 18 months +.
